Her friends who really know her know that she loves a good joke, but when it's time to get down to business she's very serious. Ginger is the perfect mare for lead mare of the Baja Herd! This is Amago, lead stallion of tha Baja Herd. He's a Spanish Mustang with a wild spirit. He came from Mexico and joined the Baja Herd. Amigo is a strong and rebelous stallion. Proud and elegantly strong, he is a great leader. Played by JadyLady


Spirit: This colt is bright and strong, he has good character but has many things to learn. He is considered an outcast but still keeps strong. played by perfectpaints10.


Mae: Mae is airy and cute and extremely fast. She is almost as quick with her wit as she is running. She is brave and strong, and loves Amago, she is considered odd by many, for her appaloosa blanket has no spots. played by seth.

Dysis: Dysis was abondened as a filly and has lived alone all her life. She fears other horses, but is very daring. She is dangerous, and wild, and knows when to leave. played by CallieWolvesbane.

Ginger trotted through the meadow. She was hoping to start a herd, but she hadn't seen any horses without a herd. The Baja herd had only one member. For now at least...

Amago had run forever it seemed. He knew he was no longer in Mexico, but where exactly he was, was unknown to him. He just kept running...Amago neighed harshly.

Ginger looked around in surprise. She then saw a handsome black stallion galloping towards her. "Hello. I am Ginger," she said when he drew near her. "I am looking for members for my herd, the Baja herd. Would you like to be the lead stallion?"

Ay (his nickname) looked startled at the blunt question, "Uhm...sure?" he blinked, "I am Amago, known as Ay."

The colt kept trudging on hoping to find a place to hide.. No one wanted him and No one needed him. He kept walking, thinking to himself when he walked in on two horse's conversation. "I'm sorry!!! please don't hurt me!, I'm sorry!" The colt knew he would get in trouble for this and he turned and ran....

Ay pivited and was infront of the colt almost instantly, "Are you alright young one?" He asked concerned. The colt seemed to relax when he realized that these two horses, were not a threat.

"Wait, what are you doing alone out here?" Ay asked in wonder, "Shouldn't you be with your mother....?"

Ay cocked his head to one side..."What, Chestnut isn't good enough? Why would she not want you?"...he asked the handsome colt.

Ginger looked at the handsome young colt. Then she turned to Ay, "Maybe, we could keep him," she whispered. SHe really hoped so.

Ay smiled, "I'm sure we can keep him...but you make it sound silly..." Ay laughed, "You are willing to stay with us youngster...if you give us your name."

"Well...I'm Mae." She said bravely stepping out of the bushes...the look the stallion gave her made her giggle.

"well sir,my mom was too disgusted with me she didn't bother to name me. And I would Love to stay with you!!" The colt turned around to see a cute filly about his age. He giggled along with her hoping that they could be friends.

Ginger smiled. "Well, Ay, I guess we have 2 new members of our herd." Then she bent down and nuzzled both of the foals. We will call you..." she said to the handsome colt, "Mexico's Spirit, Spirit for short." Ginger looked at Ay looking for his approval. He was her stallion, and the lead stallion of her herd.

Ay just gave her a silent smile of his approval. "Well, Mae, Mexico's Spirit...Welcome to the Baja Herd."

Ginger smiled. "where will we live? There needs to be protection for the foals and food and water..." She asked Ay.

"I know a place, it's a valley in the middle of a mountain, it's hidden through a small entry, and there is only one way in, so we could gaurd it." Ay stated, "Shall we embark on the journey to go there?

Ginger nodded, her mane flapping in the breeze. "Yes, we shall," she replied then turned to the foals and beckoned them to follow her and Ay.

Spirit Giggled an went to nuzzle Ginger he pranced about now that he had a family.

3 months later

Ginger pranced about the valley happily. Soon she would give birth to her first foal. Ay would be so happy. Spirit and Mae were older now and Ginger wanted another foal to take care of.

Amago nudged Ginger, 'Why are you all prancey?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, "Do you like the new valley that much?"

Ginger smiled at Amago. "Yes, I like it very much." She raised her eyebrow, "Why should you care?"

Amago shrugged and blushed, "I don't know...I suppose I care about your judgement?"

Ginger laughed at her stallion. "I ws just teasing you." Then she blushed herself. "I'm...glad...you care about my judgment."

Amago smiled at, he then pushed her with his nose and fore head, then ran, they soon started a game of tag, and even the little foals joined in.

Dysis was drinking from a stream when she heard horses coming her way. she found a place to hide and waited. They came galloping happily. One stallion, one mare, and two yearlings. She was utterly digusted and turned to walk away. and she stepped on a twig.

Amago skidded to a halt, and raised his head in the air, his nostrils diolating as he tried to smell the horse that made that sound, he listened closer, and herd shallow breathing to his left, he spun and ran forward and almost collided with a strange mare, "UHm...hello?" he said in surprise.

Ginger almost ran into Amago as he stopped. Then she heard a twig snap. Insticntivly she pulled Spirit and Mae behind her, ready to protect them if needed. In front of Ay she saw a pretty mare. "Hello," she called. "I am Ginger. What is your name? Do you have a herd?"

Amago swung his head around to look at Ginger, he raised an eyebrow at her many questions then looked back at the mare, "Dito." He said with an indication towards Ginger.

Amago nuzzled Ginger to let her know she was fine, "What is your name then, stranger?"

Ginger wondered what was taking so long. "Why can't she answer?" she whispered to Amago.

Dysis looked at the strangers very carefully. she knew not to turn her back, but that also meant she couldn't run. "My name is..." Dysis stopped. "Non of your business." She finished defiantly. Her eyes flashed dangerously.

Ginger saw the danger in the stranger's eys. She quickly backed the foals back farther and was ready to defend them.

Amago's head snapped up, and his nostrils dialated, "Excuse me, it is, you are in Baja Lands, and so you must state your name, and reason for being here."

Dysis didn't know what to do. She had always been hostile to others. but she didn't want to be any longer. 'No, I don't need them! I don't need them!' She thought fiercly to herself
